PALS for Health

Our Vision:

PALS is dedicated to increasing access to health care for Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals and to improving the health care system’s understanding of and support for LEP patients and their families.

Our Work:

PALS for Health works to increase access to health care, and to ultimately improve health care outcomes, by achieving enhanced communication and understanding between patients and health care providers. PALS for Health offers interpretation and translation in Arabic, Spanish, and multiple API languages for hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation facilities, school districts, nonprofit entities, and for-profit businesses throughout Southern California. PALS also offers language skills assessments for health care workers, interpreter and translator training, and ongoing professional development for interpreters and translators. PALS for Health is also an integral and active part of our community, and has been at the forefront of advocacy efforts for health equity and standards for everyone.
