Occupational Therapy Training Program (OTTP)

Our Vision:

OTTP’s vision is a community where people feel safe, supported and strong.

Our Work:

OTTP was founded on the principles of Occupational Therapy, which emphasize that by engaging in meaningful and purposeful activities, individuals can develop the skills they need to function optimally in everyday life. This philosophy lives on throughout all aspects of OTTP’s service delivery, with the division offering services that aim to bolster youth’s life skills, educational and vocational achievement, and mental health and well-being. OTTP’s programs include work readiness training and job placement, life skills development, and comprehensive mental health services- including substance abuse prevention and intervention, individual and family therapy, and medication management. OTTP also operates the OTTP Youth Center, which offers an opportunity for youth to engage in leisure activities, take a variety of classes ranging from music to cooking, and participate in empowerment and support groups. The Center provides youth with a safe place to belong that’s accessible after-school, in the evenings, and on the weekends. OTTP provides services on-site at their Torrance location, in the home, and in various school-based settings throughout Los Angeles County.
