SSG’s housing programs are designed to develop sustainable housing for low-income individuals and increase access to affordable, supportive housing for individuals living with mental illness.

ASIAN PACIFIC COUNSELING & TREATMENT CENTERS (APCTC)
Asian Pacific Counseling & Treatment Centers was established in 1977 as the first mental health program of Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health specifically developed to meet the unique needs of Asian Pacific immigrants and refugees who were in need of a wide range of mental health services. In 1990, APCTC made a major transition through privatization to become a county-contract agency under Special Service for Groups. APCTC provides culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health services. APCTC specializes in providing services to Asian and Pacific Islander groups such as: Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Lao, and Thai, as well as individuals and families from other ethnic groups.

Sustainable Urban ReVitalization (SURV)
A program currently in development, SURV is a community-based housing developer with the mission to transform the urban landscape of southern California by making the most state-of-the-art sustainable technology and design available to all.

Services Offered

  • Sustainable homes in urban environments
  • Affordable rental units to low-income families
  • Applied workforce training in “green-collar” jobs
  • Local employment to those with barriers to work
